Fuffi Wuff talks about his favourite of Christmas treats
Mmm, Christmas scents so delicious!
Little cookie bakers are very busy at the moment. From gingerbread cookies to cinnamon biscuits, lots of families all over the country are kneading, cutting and decorating the most wonderful
creations of homemade Christmas treats that make impressive gifts for grandmas, grandpas, family or friends.
Small people, big kitchen
A kids apron, a small rolling pin, egg whip and other child-sized kitchen stuff. That´s all children need for baking along with a huge portion of creativity. Perfectly sized for baking
preparations are kids tables that can be arranged in the middle of the kitchen. That way, children can easily reach their bakery utensils and source of hazard are out of their reach. Now, the
only thing that´s missing is a good recipe!
With all senses!
How does dough feel like? How does flour taste? And how do cinnamon and vanilla scent? First of all baking is fun to kids. But they can also make a lot of experiences while baking: Which
ingredients and how much of them do I need to make a delicious treat?
You look for a typical Christmas recipe? Then, try Fuffi Wuff´s favourite one:
Brownies (so chocolatey as Fuffi Wuffs fur!)
What you will need to get approx. 50 pieces:
150 g butter, 300 g dark chocolate, 2 table spoons flour, 100 g grounded almonds, 4 eggs, 100 g sugar, 2 packs vanilla sugar, 1 pinch of salt
Method:
1. Preheat the oven at 180° (air circulation at 160°) and butter a baking-tin of approx. 24x24 cm (optionally use baking paper).
2. Melt the butter (put 1 teaspoon aside) together with 150 g chocolate in a small saucepan at low heat. Hash 50 g chocolate and mix with flour and almonds.
3. Put eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt in a electric mixer and first mix in the butter and then the flour mixture. Put the dough into the baking-tin and bake for around 25 minutes into the
oven. Let it cool for a few minutes, then cut into small squares of around 3x3 cm.
4. Cut the remaining chocolate and put melt it together with the remaining butter in a double boiler.
5. Cover the brownies bit by bit with the melted chocolate and let it set.
